Water Supply – Ballinlough
Water has been temporarily restored to parts of Ballinlough. This supply is coming from pumps in South Lodge & the Douglas Road and is a diversion of the County supply in the new Tesco Complex.
While the pressure is poor in Ballinlough, estimated at between 50% and 70%, the supply is expected to last until the Lee Water works is pumping to the south side of the City again, which is estimated to be towards the end of this week.
This delay is caused by the necessity to carry out extensive water sampling in affected areas in conjunction with the HSE to ensure the quality of the water. Sampling needs to take place over 2 – 3 days to ensure consistency in the sampling and in the results.
When the supply from the Lee Road Water works is switched to the City Centre Island and to the South of the City, people may experience some distruption, hopefully only a few hours.
If you have any questions or are still without supply, please dont hesistate to contact me (086 0829371 or lauramcgonigle@gmail.com)
